Arrests
--ROCCO T. ROLAND, 31, of 2006 Green Valley Drive, No. 8, Janesville, delivered to the Rock County Jail on Friday on a felony warrant after being arrested in Cleburne County, Arkansas, where he waived extradition.
--NATHAN A. THOMPSON, 38, of 1149 E. Memorial Drive, at 8 p.m. Friday at 138 N. Crosby Ave., Janesville, on charges of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession with intent to deliver 3 or fewer grams of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
--TWO 14-YEAR-OLD BOYS, at 1:36 a.m. Monday at 1700 River Road, Janesville, referred to juvenile authorities on charges of burglary and theft. Police said both admitted taking coins from cars. They were held at the county juvenile jail.
Intoxicated driving arrests
--JOSHUA J. SCHOBER, 35, of 832 Kellogg Ave., No. 4, Janesville, at 1:19 a.m. Saturday at 1950 Center Ave., Janesville. The arrest was listed as his third for intoxicated driving.
--RICHARD D. THOMAS, 31, of Brodhead Airport Road, Green County, at 11:55 p.m. Saturday on Highway 81 at Avon Store Road, town of Avon, after he was stopped on suspicion of speeding.
--DARIO A. RUIZ ZELAYA, 21, Chicago, at 1:33 a.m. Sunday on Highway 81 at Mill Pond Road, Beloit.
--JEFFERY C. TOLIN, 18, Fort Atkinson, at 11:14 p.m. Saturday on County N at Serns Road in the town of Milton, after an accident. Also arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Reported
--BURGLARIES, reported at 9:17 a.m. on North County F in the town of Janesville, when a brick saw valued at $2,500 was reported stolen from an unlocked shed. The next day, power tools valued at $1,300 were reported taken from the same address, and a chain saw and trimmer were reported missing from a neighboring building.
Accidents
--HIGHWAY 14 CROSSOVER AT NORTH WRIGHT ROAD, JANESVILLE, at 2:16 p.m. Wednesday, when an SUV driven by Paulette L. Tinder, 64, of 7089 W. Stuart Road, Orfordville, and a pickup truck driven by Dylan J. Davis, 21, of 418 Church St., Clinton, collided in the intersection. A passenger in Tinder’s vehicle, Helen L. Flister, 85, of 445 Eisenhower Ave., Janesville, was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. Davis was cited for failing to stop for a red light.
Charged
--DAVID A. LE CONTE JR., 19, of 1614 Ontario Drive, Janesville, charged with hit and run causing injury and operating while intoxicated causing injury. He is accused of being intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident around 10:21 p.m. May 25, at Center Avenue and Conde Street, Janesville, when the motorcycle he was driving hit the rear of a motorcycle of a man he knows, causing both drivers to suffer cuts and “road rash.”
--BRIAN G. NOVY, 46, of 218 W. Dawson Ave., Beloit, charged with operating motor vehicle without owner consent and theft. He is accused of borrowing a car belonging to an acquaintance at his residence on July 13 and not returning it.
--MATTHEW M. STEINHOFF, 38, of 1422 E. Racine St., Janesville, charged with failing to report to jail. He is accused of failing to report to the Rock County Jail to serve his sentence after being convicted on March 27.
--RIK V. WILEY THOMAS, 26, of 233 N. Washington St., No. 5, Janesville, charged with party to burglary and theft. He is accused of participating in the theft of five rolls of copper wire, an air compressor and a toolbox, total value $5,300, on or about May 7, from a storage unit at 3919 N. County E.
--KYLE F. SCHULTZ, 36, of 640 N. Ringold St., Janesville, charged with burglary, criminal damage to property, theft, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, all as acts of domestic abuse. He is a accused of harassing a Milton woman he knows in Milton in several incidents, Aug. 23-28, including entering her residence without permission and taking items.
--JAMES A. SHULTZ, 26, of 493 E. Community Drive, Beloit, charged with substantial battery as domestic abuse. He is accused of assaulting a woman he knows Thursday at his town of Beloit residence, including a kick that cracked her ribs.
