Janesville man arrested on 4th drunken-driving charge

JANESVILLE—A Janesville man was arrested early Saturday morning on a fourth-offense drunken-driving charge, according to a Rock County Sheriff's Office news release.

Anthony Ambrose, 43, was arrested at about 2:38 a.m. Saturday after the sheriff's office and the town of Beloit Police Department responded to a vehicle that went into a ditch in front of 2956 Milwaukee Road, Beloit. Ambrose was found sitting in his vehicle trying to get out of the ditch, according to the release.

The deputy smelled alcohol on Ambrose's breath. Ambrose refused to do any field sobriety tests, according to the release.

Ambrose was taken to the Rock County Jail where he's being held for a court appearance Monday.
