Max Kuhn has spent much of his summer belting doubles.

The Beloit Snappers first baseman was ranked fifth in the Midwest League with 28 two-bag hits entering Monday's home game against Kane County. He added another key one to his total.

Kuhn rapped a one-out double in the bottom of the 10th inning and scored the winning run on Argenis Raga's walk-off single, and the Snappers beat the Cougars 3-2 in a series opener at Pohlman Field.

Kane County took a 2-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning.

Beloit answered with one in the sixth. Then in the eighth, Kuhn singled home Justin Higley to make it 2-2.

Kuhn finished 2-for-5 and has driven in 51 runs.

The two teams play again at 7 p.m. today.
