Rock County Sheriff's Office raises $1,931 for Special Olympics

JANESVILLE—The sheriff's deputies who climbed to the roofs of Janesville's two Dunkin Donuts restaurants Friday raised $1,931 from those who stopped by, the sheriff's office announced Monday.

The annual Cop on a Rooftop event is a statewide fundraiser for Special Olympics of Wisconsin.

Last year's event raised $2,060, said event coordinator Sgt. Troy Egger.
