Whitewater man charged with sixth-offense intoxicated driving

ELKHORN—A Whitewater man is charged in Walworth County Court with sixth-offense intoxicated driving.

Ricardo A. Gonzalez, 31, of 1046 E. Main St. was stopped by an officer at 6:42 p.m. Feb. 23 on Townline Road in the town of Whitewater, according to the criminal complaint filed Monday.

The officer noticed Gonzalez driving slowly and swerving between lanes and off the road, the complaint states.

Gonzalez also is charged with sixth-offense operating with a restricted controlled substance in the blood.

Lab results indicate a restricted controlled substance was found in Gonzalez's blood, according to the complaint.

Gonzalez is being held at the Walworth County Jail without bond pending his sentencing on his fifth intoxicated driving offense at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Walworth County Judicial Center.
