JANESVILLE—HealthNet of Rock County's board of directors has chosen Beloit native Ian Hedges to be the clinic's next executive director, according to a news release.
Hedges comes from the American Psychiatric Association, where he acts as HIV psychiatry associate director. Before that, Hedges worked in the District of Columbia Department of Health's as the healthy people coordinator.
“We chose Ian for his strong interest and employment background in healthcare-related fields, his experience in management and grant writing and his willingness to explore, and potentially implement, innovative healthcare options,” said board President Mark Flottum.
The Beloit College graduate will start at HealthNet on Monday.
“It is a pleasure to be coming back to Rock County, which I have considered home for so long,” Hedges said. “I am excited to work closely with our board, our volunteers and our partners in continuing to provide quality healthcare services to our county's uninsured residents.”
Hedges replaces Jean Randles, who resigned as executive director last month to become the corporate training and development manager at SSI Technologies in Janesville, according to the release.
