Beloit beats Peoria in a rout

Every player recorded a hit for the Beloit Snappers as they routed the Peoria Chiefs 10-2 on Friday. Left fielder Max Kuhn's two-run home run in the first inning started the onslaught. Argenis Raga and Tim Proudfoot also drove in two runs apiece. Beloit was 6-for-13 with runners in scoring position.

Junior Mendez allowed six hits in five innings and struck out four to earn his third win of the season. Cody Stull and Michael Fagan combined to pitch four innings of one-hit, shutout relief.

The Snappers are back home to start a three-game series against the Clinton LumberKings at 7 p.m. tonight.
