Matt Jurusik, the netminder for the Janesville Jets during their record-setting 2014-15 season, became the latest member of the team to commit to a NCAA Division I program. The native of La Grange, Illinois, will join the Wisconsin Badgers for the 2015-16 season, the Jets announced Tuesday.
The Badgers have a strong hockey tradition with six national championships and several active NHL alumni but had a difficult season in 2014-15, going 4-26-5, just the fourth 20-loss season in the program's history.
