Candidate has no drunken driving conviction

An earlier version of "Challenges mount for Beloit Town Board races," published April 1, 2015, gave incorrect information about a candidate for Beloit Town Board.

Steven Heumiller was not convicted of intoxicated driving, as stated in the article. Heumiller said it was his son, who has the same name, who has the conviction.

Online court records show Steven J. Heumiller Jr., 38, with the same address as his father, as being convicted of fourth-offense driving while intoxicated in 2012.

Steven Heumiller faces Phil Taber for the Supervisor No. 2 seat in Tuesday’s election.
