William D. Mead, 57, passed away Friday evening, Nov. 7, 2014, at Mercy Medical and Trauma Center in Janesville. He was born Feb. 26, 1957, in Beloit, the son of Dennis and Veda (Martin) Mead. Bill married Jacquelyn S. Riggins on Dec. 31, 1975, in South Beloit. He had been employed as a machinist with Fairbanks Morse and was a member of Faith Community Church in Janesville. Bill enjoyed woodworking, camping, the great outdoors, working on cars and spending time with his loving family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jackie; his daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Weadge of Edgerton; two grandchildren, Lola and Carter Weadge; and two sisters, Anita Babcock, and Dena (Wayne) Jacobsen. Bill is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sons, Jason D. and Jedidiah Mead, whom he has now joined in heaven.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at 5 p.m. at FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH 2971 Lucerne Ave. in Janesville, Pastor Jeff Williams officiating.
