Badger fans and railroad buffs will get a unique chance to experience vintage train travel next month, according to a story in the Business Journal.
Chicago-based Pullman Rail Journeys is announcing train service on select weekends in October between Chicago and Madison on “The Varsity,” fully-restored railroad cars from the 1950's, including dome cars and a first-class dining car.
The route passes through communities in Walworth and Rock counties, including Walworth and Janesville.
The schedules trips will include October dates of two University of Wisconsin-Madison football games against Northwestern University and the University of Illinois.
Pullman Rail Journeys, which already offers regular service on vintage cars between Chicago and New Orleans, added the Chicago-Madison trips this fall.
