Community artists show at Hoard Museum

The two-part, community-wide Mary Hoard Art Show will be held at the Hoard Historical Museum, 401 Whitewater Ave., Fort Atkinson, beginning Wednesday, March 22 through Saturday, April 8 for all artists in grades kindergarten through eight in the Fort Atkinson School District. The opening reception for this show takes place on March 22, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and includes an awards ceremony at 7 p.m.

For all high school and adult artists, part two of the show will run from Sunday, April 23 through Saturday, May 6 at 2 p.m. The opening reception for this second part of the Mary Hoard Art Show takes place on Sunday, April 23, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with awards given at 3 p.m.

Entry rules, forms, and registration dates for Part 2 are available for high school and adult artists at the Hoard Museum and at the Nasco Arts & Crafts Store.

Additional entry materials are available for adult artists at the Madison College – Fort Campus, and at all Jefferson County Public Libraries and the Cambridge Community Library.

Founded by Mary Cunningham Hoard in 1961 and known first as the Fort Atkinson Art Exhibit, the Mary Hoard Art Show is celebrating its 57th year, and is sponsored again this year in part by NASCO Arts & Crafts Store. The Mary Hoard Art Show is also made possible in part by the following Business Patrons of the Museum: Business and Tax Services, LLC, Café Carpe, the Fireside Dinner Theatre, Fort Real Estate Company, LLC., Jones Dairy Farm, W & A Distribution, and W.D.
