Lake Geneva man faces fourth OWI
TOWN OF BELOIT—A Lake Geneva man was arrested on a fourth-offense operating while intoxicated charge Saturday night, according to a Rock County Sheriff's Office news release.
At about 8:18 p.m., a deputy saw Landry Loftus, 57, drive erratically while southbound on South Riverside Drive near Cranston Road. Other vehicles had to evade Loftus' car to avoid colliding with him, according to the release.
The deputy stopped Loftus and smelled alcohol. Loftus failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and taken to Rock County Jail, where his blood was drawn, according to the release.
Loftus is being held until his initial court appearance Monday.
A fourth operating while intoxicated offense is a felony in Wisconsin, according to the release.
