Police investigating death in Whitewater
WHITEWATER—Police are investigating a Tuesday morning death on West Peck Street, according to a news release.
At 2:22 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a 911 call for an unknown medical emergency. Officers found an unresponsive male who was pronounced dead, according to the release.
The Whitewater Police Department and Walworth County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
“Based on the preliminary information, we have no reason to believe that there is a threat to the general public at this time,” Chief Lisa Otterbacher said in the release.
Police advise residents to avoid the 900 block of West Peck Street while the investigation is ongoing.
