Manufacturing hiring event coming Oct. 27

A manufacturing job fair is being held Thursday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Walworth County Job Center, South Building, 400 County Highway H, Elkhorn.
 
Among the businesses represented will be: Kikkoman, Baptista's Bakery, Snyder's Lance, MacLean-Fogg, R & L Spring, MediCoil, Professional Power Products, Micro Precision, Lavelle Industries, Quad Graphics, Swiss-Tech, Pierce Mfg., Prop-Shaft, Precision Plus, Husco Intl., Integra, and MPC.
 
Job seekers should bring up-to-date resumes. They will have opportunities to meet hiring managers in person as well as discuss their resumes with potential employers. Some businesses will also do on-the-spot interviews.
 
The Walworth County Job Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and offers a multitude of services to assist job seekers. No-cost workshops, resume writing, interviewing, career counseling, vocational assessment, financial literacy, computer basics and more. Visitors have free access to computers, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, posted job openings, career exploration websites, self-guided tutorials and testing opportunities in various subjects.

The center also offers veteran and bilingual job services.
