Victim in fatal town of Geneva accident identified
TOWN OF GENEVA—Town of Geneva police have identified the Chicago woman who died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night on Highway 50.
Jeanne K. Mulville-Rowell, 54, died on the scene after she was struck by a vehicle on Highway 50, about 100 yards east of Chapin Road, at around 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Town of Geneva Police Department news release.
The driver, Christopher S. Robistow, 44, of Genoa City was driving the Ford Expedition SUV that struck Mulville-Rowell, according to the release.
The investigation revealed that Mulville-Rowell left the Ridge Hotel, W4240 Highway 50, on foot a short time before the accident, according to the release. Police believe she may have stepped into the right lane of traffic where Robistow was driving.
Rubistow was cooperating with police, according to the release.
