DELAVAN—The Delavan-Darien School District will offer three sessions where parents can give input on how to improve the district's five schools.

All sessions will be held at Phoenix Middle school, 414 Beloit St., and will last about one hour each, according to a news release.

The first session will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, and will focus on improving Phoenix Middle School.

The next session, aimed at improving Delavan-Darien High School, is set for 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19. It will focus on reading and math skills as well as closing the achievement gap between students of different racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. Each attendee will receive a free ticket to the season opening football game against Lodi later that night, according to the release.

The last session will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25. This one will include all three elementary schools and discuss the new "center school" learning model, in which students will work with other children from throughout the district, according to the release.
