Lake Geneva man serves on state corn board

David Adams of Lake Geneva recently was re-elected as the District 8 representative on the Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board. Adams will serve a three-year term representing Walworth, Jefferson, Kenosha and Racine counties.
According to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, the nine-member board oversees the collection and use of about $1.7 million in assessment fees paid by Wisconsin corn growers. The money is used to support the industry through research, market development and consumer education.
