Harold D. Dallman, Sr., age 81, of Edgerton, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison. He was born in Edgerton, on Dec. 21, 1934, the son of Emil W. and Grace V. (Spitzer) Dallman and was a 1953 graduate of Edgerton High School. Harold married Ruth Ann Bratzke at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Edgerton, on Oct. 1, 1955. She preceded him in death on Aug. 12, 2014. He was employed by General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 1983. Harold was a member of UAW Local 95. He was a huge tinker’er who could fix anything. Most days he could be found working on projects with his twin brother, Howard. Harold was also the consummate practical joker and had an incredible sense of humor.
Harold is survived by his two daughters, Carrie Eiden of Indianford, and Joan Myers of Edgerton; two sons, Harold (Melissa) Dallman of Beloit, and David (Jean) Dallman of Edgerton; seven grandchildren: Jason (Jill) Dallman of Janesville, Jeremy Dallman of Beloit, Brianna Dallman of Beloit, Vickie (Dale) Eiden-Carder of Madison, Sara Lund and Stacy Lund, both of Edgerton, and Rachel (Eric) Veum of Sun Prairie; eight great-grandchildren: Kaden and Keagen Dallman, Vivienne and Daphne Carder, Madison and Brooke Lund-Finn, and Samantha and Andrew Veum; a sister, Ruth (Mike) Miles of Janesville; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Ann; two sons-in-law, Raymond Eiden and James Myers; and seven siblings: Emil II, Delbert, Dorothy, Helen, Edna, Howard, and Dwight.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 15, 2106, at the EHLERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 315 Lord St. (Hwy 51) Edgerton, with the Rev. Dr. Barbara Wells officiating.
