Loren Gene Morris, 68, passed away at his home in Walworth on Jan. 30, 2016. He was born Aug. 3, 1947 in Norfolk, NE to T. Oberlin and Olive (Griffith) Morris. Loren lived in Nebraska until moving to Walworth, WI with his parents and brother Gary, in 1956. In 1960 the family moved to Hebron, IL, where he then graduated from Hebron High School in 1965. He also graduated from Elgin Community College in 1968 and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
He was a lifetime member of Harvard Moose Lodge #1289. Member of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons and OES. Loren worked as a substitute teacher, worked for Amoco Oil, and Harvard Savings Bank. He had numerous other jobs while attending college. He was an active member of Immanuel Church of Christ for many years.
He was an avid Elvis fan and loved music of all kinds.
Loren is survived by one brother, Gary (Mary) Morris, from Poplar Grove, IL; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Duane.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb.20, 2016 at Toynton’s Walworth Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. when memories and stories will be shared.
