Scott E. Gosda, age 55, of Edgerton, died on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at home. He was born in Janesville, on March 24, 1960, the son of Donald E. and Dolores D. (Peters) Gosda. He was a 1978 graduate of Craig High School and was a lifelong resident of Janesville, until he and his family moved to Edgerton, 10 years ago. Scott was a custodian for the Janesville School District until his retirement five years ago. He enjoyed working with his hands and building things. He had a passion for the outdoors, especially gardening, fishing and crafting bird houses and was an extreme Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Packer fan. He was an avid pool player and loved playing anything with dice. Scott loved pleasing people and always put everyone ahead of himself.

Scott is survived by his four children: Greg (Rachel) Kastenmeier of Edgerton, Bailey Gosda of Texas, Cassandra Rupprecht of Janesville, and Alex Gosda of Janesville; five grandchildren: Ethan, Miley, Makiley, Harper and Dontae; former wife, Dawn Gosda Kastenmeier of Janesville; two siblings, Marty Gosda of Hazelhurst, WI, and Kyla (Jumbo) Stephenson of Janesville; sister-in-law, Maureen Gosda of Janesville; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven Gosda.

A Memorial Celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, from Noon until 3 p.m. at EHLERT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 315 Lord St, Edgerton. For on-line obituary and condolences: www.ehlertfuneralhome.com
