Shirley M. Yazbec, age 89, of Delavan, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at her home in Delavan, surrounded by her family. She was born in Peru, IL, on Feb. 19, 1926, to Leo and Johanna (Lindenmeyer) Schultz. Shirley was united in marriage to William Yazbec Sr. on Jan. 11, 1947, in Peru, IL. He passed away on June 5, 1990. Shirley was a longtime member at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.

Shirley is survived by her three daughters: Shelley (fiancé, Dominick Dalitto) Wood of AZ, Cindy (Henry) Blazer of Darien, and Robin (Jimmy) Regan of Delavan; a son, William Jr. (Lissie) Yazbec of Delavan; six grandchildren: William III, David, Ellen, Brian, Bruce and Matt; eight great-grandchildren: Caleb, Noel, Hayden, Katie, Alex, Will, Riley and Zoey; and a son-in-law, Ronald Larson of Delavan. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; a daughter, Becky; three sisters: Lois (Tony) Quartucci, Claire (Wayne) Batchelder, and Jean (Calvin) Monroe; and a brother, Merle Schultz.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at ST. ANDREW’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the CHURCH. Burial will take place at St. Andrew’s Cemetery. MONROE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family.
