July 15, 1940 - January 20, 2016

Gordon (Gordy) K. Wenham, 75, of Milton, passed away with quiet dignity surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at Agrace Hospice & Palliative Care in Janesville. Gordon was born on July 15, 1940, to Raymond and Marjorie (Jennings) Wenham. He graduated from Milton High School and continued his education at UW-Whitewater where he majored in Business Administration. In 1960, he married his high school sweetheart, Judith Courtney; she was the love of his life for the past 55 years. He began working at the Milton Telephone Company as a Lineman in 1960. After many years of service, he retired in 1991, as District Manager. Gordy continued by serving his community working as Project Manager for the Milton School District with the construction of Northside Intermediate School and the Milton High School Addition. Most recently, he was employed by Hammil Farm Center. He served on the Milton School Board for 11 years and was a member of Milton Kiwanis Club. Gordy was a kind, loving and generous man who treasured, above all else, spending time with his family. He enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and crossword puzzles. Many family members have treasures from his woodworking skills. To the very end, he never lost his sense of humor.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Judy; three children: Jeff (Diane) Wenham of Richland Center, WI, Jill (John) Holt and Joanne (Curt) Jenner of Milton, WI; seven grandchildren: Whitney and Julia Wenham, Drew, Riley and Courtney Holt and Ryan and Kelsey Jenner; his sister, Ellen (Ralph) Nottingham of Milton; his brothers, Gene Wenham of Milton, and David (Sandy) Wenham of Apache Jct., AZ; a sister-in-law, Bess Ann Wenham of Milton; and a brother-in-law, Jack Courtney of Milton. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert; and his mother and father-in-law, George and Edna Courtney.

Gordon’s family wishes to extend sincere thanks for the exceptional care provided by the dedicated staff at Agrace Hospice & Palliative Care, Dr. Dhillon and the Pulmonary Rehab Staff at Edgerton Hospital.
