Gean Nesbit, 87, of Edgerton, passed away unexpectedly at his daughter, Traci’s home, where he has lived for the last 15 years, on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, in Edgerton. Gean was born on Oct. 27, 1928, in Edgerton, to the late William and Ruby (Anderson) Nesbit. He attended Edgerton High School and after graduated was enlisted in the U.S. Army where he would serve his country by building bridges in Germany, during the Korean Conflict in 1952. On April 24, 1954, Gean would marry the love of his life, Patricia Reilly, until her death in 1996. Gean worked for many years as a Custodian for the Edgerton School Systems, retiring in 1991. He is a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, member of the Lion’ s Club, VFW, and Knights of Columbus. In his spare time, Gean loved to do puzzles, listen to polka music, and go hunting and fishing. He enjoyed every minute he got to spend with his children and grandchildren.

Gean is survived by his three children: Jim (Nancy) Nesbit of Phillips, WI, Traci Henke of Edgerton, WI, Jeannnie (Robert) Fay of Edgerton; grandchildren: Maggie and Samuel Nesbit, Amber Cutting, Britani Henke; great-grandchildren, Aiden Cooper and a great granddaughter on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Nesbit; and two brothers, his twin, Dean, and Rolland Nesbit.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, Edgerton, with Father Dave Timmerman presiding. Burial will follow at Fulton Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be held on Monday at the CHURCH from 9 a.m. until the start of the service. ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, Edgerton, are assisting the family with arrangements.
