Daniel Lee Halverson, 51, of Beloit, WI, and formerly of Edgerton, WI, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, after a lengthy illness surrounded by family in his home. He was born Sept. 21, 1964, in Edgerton, WI, the son of Lee and Karen (Sommervold) Halverson. Dan was a 1984 graduate of Gibson City High School in Champaign, IL. He married Linda Hartley on July 30, 2011, in Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton, WI. Dan was employed by Stoughton Trailers for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; children: Kylee, Bryden (Bethany), Abby, and Jon (Nikki); parents, Karen (James) Jensen of Edgerton, WI, and Lee (Pat) Halverson of Cottage Grove, WI; sister, Lisa Stearns of Janesville, WI; nieces: Kerri Stearns, Heather (Nick) Green, Bobbi (Sergio) Stevens, and Casey Reed, all of Janesville, WI; many great nieces; aunts; uncles; and cousins; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bonnie (Brad), Ronald, Edie, Ervin, and Louie; special friends: Bill Leahey, Gene Korback, and Mike (Ellen) Stearns. He was predeceased by his grandparents and mother-in-law, Shirley J. Dean.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Rd. Beloit, WI, with Pastor Joel Otto officiating. Burial will be in Albion Prairie Stone Church Cemetery, Albion, WI. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the FUNERAL HOME. Memorials in Dan’s name would be greatly appreciated to the family.
