Janesville police seek armed robber

JANESVILLE—A dog was shot and is doing fine after a Tuesday night armed robbery in the 200 block of South Jackson Street, according to a police news release.

The robber walked into the home with a handgun and demanded money and marijuana. The victims' pit bull walked toward the robber. The robber shot it and left, according to the release.

The robber is a slender, white male, 20 to 30 years old and about 5-feet-7-inches tall. He was wearing a black mask and dark clothes. Anyone with information about this case can contact the Janesville Police Department at 608-755-3100 or Janesville Area CrimeStoppers at 608-756-3636.
