National Weather Service issues wind chill advisory for Rock, Walworth counties

JANESVILLE—The National Weather Service in Sullivan is warning of dangerous wind chills between Saturday night and Monday afternoon.

The coldest air of the season is expected to come through the area along with brisk winds, the weather service said.

Wind chills are expected to reach 20 below to 30 below Saturday into early Sunday morning. On Sunday, things will warm up five degrees, with wind chills making it feel like 20 below to 25 below.

The cold weather will stick around until at least noon Monday.

A wind chill advisory is in place for most of southern Wisconsin including all of Rock, Walworth, Dane, Jefferson and Green counties.
