Gabino Dominguez Gonzalez, 41, is charged in Walworth County Court with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and aggravated battery.

On the night of Dec. 26, Dominguez Gonzalez and his 22-year-old roommate went to the Show Palace Gentlemen's Club in Darien, according to the complaint.

After having a couple alcoholic drinks, the two fought in the parking lot because the 22-year-old was upset Dominguez Gonzalez wanted to leave, the complaint states.
The 22-year-old punched Dominguez Gonzalez, and the fight was broken up by a Show Palace employee, the complaint states.

The two returned to their home at 418 Beloit St., No. 7, Walworth, where the fight continued later that evening, when the younger man punched Dominguez Gonalez.
Dominguez Gonzalez then grabbed a baseball bat and hit his roommate three or four times, according to the complaint.

A village of Walworth police officer was dispatched to the home in the early morning hours of Dec. 27 for a fight in progress. When the officer arrived, he saw the 22-year-old lying on the floor “face up with blood on his face, head and on the floor” with a knife in his pocket, according to the complaint.

The 22-year-old was taken to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, where doctors told police the man suffered from facial and skull fractures, a brain bleed and detached retina, the complaint states.

Dominguez Gonzalez is being held at the Walworth County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond. He will appear in court next at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Walworth County Judicial Center.
