With help from local donor, Edgerton Teen Center hopes to pay off mortgage
EDGERTON—The Edgerton Teen Center has reached its goal of raising $130,000 before Dec. 31, so the goal has been increased.
Originally, developer Jeffrey Helgesen offered to match up to $65,000 donated by the community by the end of the year to pay off the center's mortgage. With that goal reached, Helgesen extended the donation deadline to Friday, Jan. 15, and will match up to $75,000, said Dave Flood, center director.
The extra money will be used for other projects, such as a recording studio.
