Robert H. Bjerk, Jr., age 80, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Thursday,

December 3, 2015 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Robert was born September 12, 1935 in Beloit to Robert and Jesse (Krahn) Bjerk, Sr. He married Charlene Cox on November 11, 1973 in Rockton, IL. He was employed by General Motors of Janesville for 30 years, retiring

in 1984. He previously owned taverns in Loganville and Pray. For seven years he was a chef at Lake Arrowhead in the town of Rome. He was a member of UAW. His interests included cooking, woodworking and the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlene “Charlie” Bjerk of Wisconsin Rapids; six hildren: Jolene (Craig) Orlowski of town of Rome;

Tim (Ann) Hudson of Jonesboro, AR; Eric (Michele) Ellestead of San

Francisco, CA; Kelly (Mike) O’Leary of Janesville; Lori (Mike) Aston of

Beloit; and Marylin Hudson of Syracuse, NY; one step daughter, Katrina

Walhovd of Janesville; seven grandchildren: Bailey Hahn; Cole Orlowski;

Denita and Samantha Shores; Paul Hudson; and Ashley and Tony Ray; three

step grandchildren: Josh; Justin; and Jenna Walhovd; one great grandson,

Brandon Moat; one brother, Richard Bjerk of Sebring, FL; and brothers

and sisters in-law: Sandra Hanson of Rapid City, SD; Randy (Ginny) Cox

of Janesville; Tony Cox of Arkdale; Mike (Maria) Cox of Irma; Gary Cox

of Janesville; Dave (Sheri) Cox of Janesville; Julie Cox of Oak Creek;

and Jayne Olsen of Milton. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Betty

Christensen.

Robert’s family would like to thank the staff of Aspirus Riverview

Hospital, Chaplain Kristi Kleinbeck, and the Nekoosa Ambulance Service

for their excellent care.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at

Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Rev. Kristi Kleinbeck will

officiate. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral

home from 12 noon until the time of service. Online condolences may be
