Shirley L. Thompson, 87, of Janesville, WI, died Dec. 2, 2015, at Huntington Place, Janesville, WI. She was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Herrick and Margaret Halford. She graduated from Rufus King HS in 1946. She married the boy across the street, Kenneth L. Thompson, on Dec. 28, 1946. Shirley enjoyed being a wife, mother, homemaker, friend, and most importantly Grandma and Granny.
Shirley is survived by her son, Timothy (Patricia) Thompson of Janesville, WI; grandsons, Christopher (Bobbi) Thompson of Ordfordville, WI, and Nathan (Carol) Thompson of Janesville; eleven great-grandchildren: Hank, Christopher II, Korah, Madyson, Jonah, Gabriel, Anikin, Keanu, Jilian, Hosannah, and Lailah; one sister, Patricia Baumann of Waterford, WI; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth in 1992; and her brother, Douglas Halford in 1996.
