Marvin Britton Renly, 90, of Orfordville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at Aster Assisted Living in Monroe. He was born Aug. 1, 1925, in Plymouth Township, the son of Magnus and Nina (Satrang) Renly. Marvin married Violet Grubb on Oct. 14, 1954, in Orfordville Lutheran Church. Marvin was a former employee of City Service Gas Company in Orfordville. He was a member of the Orfordville Lutheran Church, the Orfordville Fire Department and a former member of the Orfordville Odd Fellows organization.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Violet; two sons, Paul (Cindy) Renly of Virginia, and John (Rusiell)Renly of Sauk Prairie; three daughters: Ruth (Jim) Stauffacher of Beloit, Elizabeth (Danny) Burkhalter of Woodford, and Carol Lee (Bruce Steitz) of Grays Lake, IL; a sister-in-law, Anne Renly of Nevada; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward Renly.

Funeral services will be at ORFORDVILLE LUTHERAN CHURCH on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at Newcomer-Silverthorn Chapel on the Hill, Hwy 11 and South Coon Island Road, on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. Burial will be in Orfordville Lutheran Cemetery.
