Patricia A. Jones, 85, a long-time Janesville resident died Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at Alden Meadow Park Nursing Home in Clinton. Patricia was born in Walworth, WI, on Dec. 6, 1929. She married Robert A. Jones in Elkhorn, WI, on April 11, 1953. She was employed for over 25 years by Wisconsin Power and Light Company (Alliant Energy) as a cashier in the Janesville office. She and her husband owned and operated the General Antique Store in Emerald Grove for a number of years. Patricia was a member of First Lutheran Church and was especially fond of antiques.
Surviving Patricia are her daughter, Susan (Tommy) Erickson of Beloit; two grandchildren, Jared Sowatzki and Glen (Erin) Cox; two step-grandchildren, Billie Jo Erickson and Melissa Erickson; her twin sister, Priscilla “Polly” (Clifford) Schulz; two brothers, Carl (Estrid) Sanders and David (Miriam) Sanders. Patricia’s husband, Robert Jones, died on Nov. 25, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Stewart; as well as her parents.
Visitation will be from 11 am to Noon Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, at FIRST LUTHERN CHURCH, 612 N. Randall Ave., Janesville, with services to follow at Noon Friday. Rev. Naomi Garber will officiate. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. The family is being assisted by HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME.
