Charles A. Rohloff, age 86, was born on Feb. 14, 1929, in Janesville, WI, to a life that included Elmers Café, GM and then a farm at Evansville, WI. He married Dolores Fitzsimmon on Sept. 5, 1953, and they farmed on Territorial Road ever since. They were joined by two children in 1969, Joe and Jean. Chuck actively pursued his many diverse interests which included hunting, fishing, travel and a behind the scenes role of "helper" with his wife's horses.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Dolores; his children, Joe (Brenda) Rohloff and Jeannie (Brad) Petterson; three grandsons: Kody Rohloff, Josh and Tyler Petterson; and a collie named Finnie AKA; Root Beer Dog.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, Evansville, with Reverend Matthew Poock officiating. Burial will follow in Cooksville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:30 until 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at WARD-HURTLEY FUNERAL HOME, Evansville. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Evansville, Trout Unlimited, or a charity of your choice in Charles' name.
