Bucks snap Cavaliers' 8-game win streak in 2 OTs

MILWAUKEE—Jerryd Bayless scored 17 points and held LeBron James scoreless over the final 3:15 of the second overtime, and the Milwaukee Bucks beat Cleveland 108-105 on Saturday night, snapping the Cavaliers’ eight-game winning streak.
James scored 37 points for Cleveland, which lost for the first time since dropping a 97-95 decision at Chicago in the season opener on Oct. 27.
Michael Carter-Williams scored 17 points for Milwaukee while Giannis Antetokounmpo had 16 points and 11 rebounds in 45 minutes before fouling out with 3:15 left in the second overtime. Greg Monroe scored 16 points and had 17 rebounds for the Bucks.
Bayless drew the assignment of guarding James after Antetokounmpo fouled out, and he held the Cleveland star scoreless the rest of the game.
J.R. Smith hit a 3-pointer with 27 seconds left to pull Cleveland within 108-105.
Bayless missed a running one-hander with 5 seconds to go, but Monroe grabbed the offensive rebound with 3 seconds left to seal the victory for Milwaukee.
Cleveland’s Kevin Love had 24 points and 14 rebounds for his 300th career double-double in just 449 NBA games.
Mo Williams, starting in place of Cleveland’s injured Kyrie Irving, was held to four points despite coming into the game averaging 16.9.
With the score tied in the first overtime, James blocked a shot by Bayless with 10 seconds left. Cleveland called time out, but James 3-point attempt missed at the buzzer to send the game into a second overtime.
James scored six points in the final 1:24 of regulation, tying the score at 88-88 on a two-handed dunk with 16.5 seconds to go. After a timeout, Cleveland double-teamed Monroe and Bayless missed a 16-foot jumper as time expired, sending the game into overtime.
The Cavaliers’ defense pushed the game into overtime by forcing three Milwaukee turnovers in the final 1:47 of the fourth quarter.
The Bucks held Cleveland scoreless for more than 5 minutes in the third quarter, scoring 10 consecutive points to take a 64-55 lead on Monroe’s 13-foot jumper with 5:35 left. James scored five points in the final 9 minutes of the quarter, but was the only Cleveland player to score in that time, and Milwaukee led 70-61 after three quarters.
Carter-Williams dunked in a missed shot as time expired in the first half, giving Milwaukee a 50-44 lead.

Cavaliers: Jefferson was questionable before the game with a right ankle injury, but scored 14 points in 39 minutes. He scored eight points in less than 1 minute early in the fourth quarter to get Cleveland back in the game.
Bucks: La Marsellaise, the national anthem of France, was played before the game in remembrance of those killed and injured in the Paris attacks. … Parker picked up two fouls in the first 1:53 of the game.
