Mary Helen Motzko, 94, of Janesville, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Rock Haven Nursing Home where she had been residing recently. She was born on Aug. 9, 1921, in Chicago, IL, the only child of Alex and Anna Charna Kowalchuk. She grew up in Chicago, and graduated from Tuley High School there. She married George J. Motzko on Sept. 26, 1948, in Chicago. Mary was formerly employed as a typist by the Federal Reserve Bank and General Electric. Following retirement, the family moved to Williams Bay, WI, in 1980 and then to Janesville, in 1986.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Sharon Ann Motzko who is a resident of Rock Haven. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2000.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept., 18, 2015, at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 2200 Milton Avenue, Janesville, where friends may call from 1:30 p.m. Friday until the time of services. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum. HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME is assisting with the arrangements.
