Arrests

—A 15-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY, at 4:24 p.m. Thursday at 915 Van Buren St., Janesville, referred to juvenile authorities on charges of party to burglary and theft.

—BURGLARY to a storage unit, reported at 12:32 p.m. Thursday at B&J Storage, 4704 Drott Drive, Janesville. A mini light bar was taken.

—MOTORCYCLE CHASE, at about 4:45 p.m. Friday, from Walworth County into Rock County. Delavan police would not release details Friday, but the Rock County Sheriff’s Office reported the chase was broken off somewhere on Highway 140. A dispatcher was heard to say the Yamaha R1 had been stolen from a dealer. Rock County deputies checked for signs of an accident but found none.

Charged

—JEREMIAH X. MONTAGUE, 50, of 250 Country Club Drive Apt. E, Lake Geneva, with five felony counts of identity theft. Lake Geneva police say on June 22, Montague to a person’s credit card and used the card five separate times to make various purchases worth a combined $2,943.64. Montague is also charged with felony burglary of a business and misdemeanors criminal damage to property and theft. Lake Geneva police say on Aug. 20, Montague broke the door of the store In Focus and stole a surveillance camera and about $1,000 of merchandise.

—CURT A. SCHLAGEL, 23, of W5692 Canary Road, Elkhorn, with felony possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Walworth County deputies say on Aug. 5, a deputy stopped Schlagel while driving and later found marijuana and a glass pipe in Schlagel’s vehicle.

—MANDY L. STEWART, 29, of 56 W. Walworth Ave., Delavan, with felony identity theft and misdemeanor retail theft. Lake Geneva police say on March 21, 2014, Stewart was arrested on suspicion of retail theft after reportedly stealing $70.95 worth of items from Wal-Mart. Police say when Stewart was arrested she used a family members name instead of her own.
