• Craig third at Red Raider Invite—Janesville Craig's girls swim team finished third out of 10 teams at a meet at Wauwatosa East.
Waukesha North/Kettle Moraine scored 379.5 team points to edged West Bend West by eight points
“We slowly worked our way up the standings,” Craig coach Brian Kitzman said. “The emphasis was all about scoring points for the team. That's exactly what they did—very selfless swims today.”
Erin Donagan was second to Wauwatosa East's Celia Ripple in both the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke, and Craig finished third in the 200 free relay.
“We never see most of these teams, so it's nice to see some different competition,” Kitzman said. “Ripple is one of the top swimmers in the state, and Donagan was competitive in both races.”
Craig swims at Madison La Follette on Friday night.
