Frederick John Hoffmann, age 69, of Rockford, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. He was born Jan. 19, 1946, in Wausau, WI, son of Arnold and Marie (Schwenkner) Hoffmann. He was a Veteran of the US Army, and proud member of the Rockford American Legion and Eagles Club. In his spare time he enjoyed the challenge of putting puzzles together.
John is survived by his wife, Jaqueline R. (Kalash) Hoffman; children: Shelly Callendar, Fred (Paula) Hoffmann, Angela (Bob) Parker and Steven (Trisha) Hoffmann; stepchildren: Denise, Paul, Deanna and John Petravich; sisters, Patricia Mandera and Betty Ensor; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers: Raymond, Clarence, Arnold and Gerald Hoffmann.
Memorial Services to be held on Monday Sept. 14, 2015, at 10 a.m. at CHRISTENSON FUNERAL HOME, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials may be made to the family.
