Polina Zueva continued her winning ways, but the Janesville Craig girls tennis team could not follow her winning ways as the Cougars dropped all three matches at the Kenosha Tremper Quadrangular on Saturday.

Lake Geneva Badger won the quad title with three straight victories.

Zueva improved to 14-0 on the season at No. 1 singles.

Polina defeated Badger High's No. 1 singles player Claudia Huerta 6-3, 6-2.

“I think that is the most games she has given up this year,” Craig coach Bill Peyer said of Zueva's win over the freshman Huerta.

Craig's No. 2 singles player Maycee Maslonka had three matches that went three sets. She went 1-2.

“We didn't quite get the results we wanted,” Peyer said. “The girls got to see what it is to be that good. “It pushed us.”

The Cougars play at Sun Prairie on Tuesday.
