Jeanette L. Halderson, Footville, WI (1928-2015)

Jeanette L. Halderson, 92, of Footville, WI, passed away at St. Elizabeth Manor, Footville, on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015. Jeanette was born the fifth child of Frank and Georgia (Crow) Mole in Zion, IL, on Feb. 9, 1923. She married Paul Brown and then later married Arthur L. Halderson on Dec. 22, 1973, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Beloit. Jeanette was employed by Gibbs Manufacturing, Janesville, WI, retiring in 1976, with 25 years of service. After retirement, Jeanette and Art enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and had visited every state. During their time together they lived in Truth or Consequences, NM, and from there they moved to Neillsville, WI, to be near Art's "boys". After Art's passing in 2006 while in Neillsville, Jeanette moved back to Janesville, to be near her son, Ralph. In Dec. of 2011, Jeannette moved to St. Elizabeth Manor, where she has resided ever since. Jeanette had a passion for sewing, knitting and hand quilting. There are many babies and adults to this day that continue to enjoy her beautiful quilts.

Jeanette is survived her son, Ralph (Carol) Brown of Madison, WI; step children: Connie (Bill) Hasting of Pinole, CA, Robert Halderson of Beloit, WI, Richard (Deanne) Halderson of Stevens Pt., WI, Ronald (Marie) Halderson of Penrose, CO, Raymond (Karen) Halderson of Newell, SD, Ralph Halderson of Neillsville, WI, and Ruby Alcocer of Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; 29 step-great grandchildren; four step-great great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Zwicke of Zion, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; three sisters: Dorcas Mole, Montabelle Brown and Rhoda Dudzek; and three brothers: Gerald, Eric and Joseph. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Brown; and two step-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank St. Elizabeth Manor for the outstanding care given to Jeanette. We are especially thankful to the staff in Alma Care. Thank you Amy, I couldn't have done it without you. We would also like to thank Heartland Hospice for their care.

The funeral service for Jeanette will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. at ROSMAN UEHLING KINZER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY. The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME. Interment will follow the service at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, So. Beloit, IL.
