Milton day care owners open Janesville location
PrintJANESVILLE—The owners of a Milton day care have opened a new location in Janesville, opening one of the few 24/7-day care centers in the area.
Matt and Tami McGuire, owners of Tami's Tender Times in Milton, opened a new location in July at 460 Midland Road, Janesville. The center accepts kids ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Matt McGuire said the new day care is in no way affiliated with the previous day care at that location, Tinker Tots, or its owner.
McGuire said the couple were planning to expand its business in Milton by remodeling an old church, but when those plans fell apart, the Janesville opportunity came about.
The new location is a YoungStar participant but is not yet rated. The center accepts W-2. It is licensed for 40 kids, but the facility has the capacity for 77.
