Matthew S. Gardner, age 57, of Janesville, died on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born in Janesville, on Dec. 19, 1957, the son of Anthony and Carmella (Marchiafava) Gardner. He graduated from Craig High School and had been employed by Lear Seating.
Matthew is survived by his son, Lucas (Lucinda) Gardner; two grandchildren, Lucas and Isabella Gardner; his mother, Carmella Gardner; two brothers, Maryk Gardner of Andrews, IN, and Jon (Lela) Gardner of Janesville; uncles, Steve (Roxanne) Gardner of Sun Prairie and Joe (Carol) Marchiafava of Fort Atkinson; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Lucia Mauerman; grandparents: Frank and Angeline Marchiafava, and Anna and Harry Gardner; uncles, Bob and Jim Gardner; and aunt, Mary Marchiafava.
