October 4, 1954. - August 15, 2015

Thomas Roy Krause died peacefully at home on Saturday Aug. 15, 2015. The son of Alice and Delbert Krause was born October 4, 1954. Tom loved deer hunting, fishing, football, the History Channel, Turtleman, John Wayne, the farm, sweet corn, hayrides and helping people. His sense of humor and love of life was unrivaled. Even in the worst of times, a day didn't pass that he didn't share a joke with someone. Tom was a simple, humble, hardworking man who was as comfortable on a tractor as he was in a Santa Claus suit on Christmas Day. If a man's wealth could be measured by the number of friends he has, Tom would have been a billionaire. None of us will ever have as many great friends as he did. We bless every one of you. We learned many valuable lessons from Tom. Among them: always be there for friends, meat and potatoes make you big and strong and never be without duct tape.

Tom is survived by his wife, Deanna; daughters: Jennifer (Jay), Whitney (Trevor) and Hayley; grandchildren: Jadon, Jordyn and Thomas; his mother, Alice Krause; sisters: Judeen (Mike) Reese, Deb (Wally) Velleux and Karen (Jim) Tway; sister-in-law, Valerie (Bill) Leeder; brother-in-law, Mike Hansen; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Krause; mother-in-law Beatrice Hansen; brothers-in-law, Warren Hansen and Gordon Hansen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at ALBANY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Albany, WI, with Reverend Brad Mather officiating. Burial will follow in Peace Cemetery, Brooklyn Township. A visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at WARD-HURTLEY FUNERAL HOME, Evansville. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.

Tom left us as he sat in his recliner with a coke, watching an old John Wayne movie. He loved the Duke and watched his movies over and over. It's been a long dusty trail. Enjoy the sunset, Pilgrim!!

The man, the myth, the legend.

Men wanted to be like him. Women wanted to be with him.

Condolences may be expressed at Wardhurtley.com
