Venetian Fest to light up Lake Geneva
LAKE GENEVA — The 53rd annual Venetian Festival will be held Aug. 19 through Aug. 23 in downtown Lake Geneva. The event, sponsored by the Lake Geneva Jaycees, is held at Flat Iron, Library and Seminary parks in Lake Geneva.
Activities include a craft show Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22-23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m to 4 p.m Sunday. Admission is free. More than 100 exhibitors will be lined up in Library Park along Lake Geneva's lakefront.
A carnival is set up in Flat Iron Park and Seminary Park. The carnival will be open 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday and noon till 11:30 p.m. Saturday, till 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Wonder Lake ski team will put on a show at 6 p.m. Sunday in front of the Riviera.
Live bands perform in the beer tent; you must be 21 to enter. The lineup (subject to change) includes:

The boat parade is held Sunday night Aug. 23 in front of Library Park in Lake Geneva and the Riviera. It starts at dusk with a fireworks display after that. This year's theme is Boogie Lights, a tribute to the '70s.
