Man dies in car-pedestrian crash on Highway 120
PrintTOWN OF SPRING PRAIRIE—A Walworth County man died in a car-pedestrian crash Monday morning in the town of Spring Prairie.
Walworth County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the crash at 1:07 a.m. on Highway 120, just south of Highway D. Chad Kneesel, 38, of West Salem was hit by a car driven by Dipen Patel of Lake Geneva. Kneesel was transported to a local trauma center and later died.
Patel was driving southbound on Highway 120 when he struck Kneesel, who was walking on roadway. Patel was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
Kneesel was walking from the Alpine Valley Music Theater after attending a concert Sunday night, according to a Walworth County Sheriff's office press release.
The Walworth County Sheriff's Office crash investigation unit is looking into the incident.
