Janice Rae Zimmer, Janesville, WI (1937 - 2015)

JANESVILLE, WI—Janice Rae Zimmer, age 77, of Janesville, died Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Mercy Hospital and Trauma. Janice was born in Wisconsin on October 1, 1937, the daughter of Jerome and Gladys (Zuelsdorf) Johnson. She married Donald C. Zimmer on Aug. 7, 1954. They lived in Rio and Evansville before moving to Janesville in 1969. Janice enjoyed working over the years at the Coin Wash laundry and dry cleaning, Leiders Greenhouse, Copps Dept. Store, and the Jotter. She enjoyed cake decorating crafting, traveling, motorcycling and camping, most of all Janice loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her five children: Shelly (Joseph) Collins of Milton; Charles (Sharon) Zimmer of Decatur, IN; Noel (Kristin) Zimmer; Cynthia (Doug) Gilbank; and Royce Zimmer, all of Janesville; eight grandchildren: Joey (Rachel) and Craig Collins; Jaime (Jeff) Tobias; Chandra; Lynnea and Lauren Zimmer; Audra Zwaska; and Madison Gilbank; seven great grandchildren: Anthony; Austin; Alexander Tobias; Katerina and Genevieve Collins; Addison and MaKenna Rich; four siblings: Sharon (Allen) Kaale; Dennis (Sandi Koehn) Johnson; Patricia Manley; Michael Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three siblings: Loris Johnson, David Johnson, Leslie Lafler.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Wed., August 12, 2015 at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10a.m. until time of service at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
