Carol Kay Stricker, age 93, of Edgerton, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Swift Haven Community in Edgerton. She was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Platteville, WI, the daughter of Albert and Mildred (Olson) Kay. After graduating from UW-Platteville, she married Henry C. Stricker. Carol moved to Edgerton, in 1943, coming from Platteville, so she could teach in Edgerton. She taught in Juda, WI, and then Edgerton, WI, for four years. She was a Cub Scout leader, a member of Edgerton United Methodist Church, Sunday School teacher and was active in many committees at church. The Culture Club, Ruth Circle and Benefit Circle.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Cinda Stricker of New Berlin, WI; three grandchildren: Steven Stricker of Simi Valley, CA, Dana Stricker of Pensacola, FL, and Michael Bird of Stockton, CA; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Tatge of Platteville, WI; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; son, David; brother, Jim Kay; and sister, Joyce Van Natta.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at the EDGERTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. Visitation time will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the CHURCH on Monday. Burial will be in the Fassett Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Edgerton United Church. The ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, Edgerton, is assisting the family.
