Despite being outhit and committing three errors, the Beloit Snappers beat the Clinton LumberKings 4-3 on Sunday.

Jose Brizuela hit a solo home run in the two-run fourth for the Snappers, and Joey Wagman allowed one unearned run in six innings of work to get his fourth win of the season.

Beloit batters worked Clinton pitchers for a total of seven walks, and Snappers pitchers didn't allow a free pass.

The first two LumberKings batters reached in the ninth, and pinch-runner Gianfranco Wawoe scored to cut Beloit's lead to one with one out and a runner on third. Koby Gauno then struck out James Alfonso and got Austin Cousino to ground out to earn his second save of the season.

The Snappers will go for the three-game sweep at noon Monday.
