Elizabeth G. "Gail" Hemmer a longtime Janesville resident, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening at the Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center Emergency Dept. She was born April 17, 1949 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of the late Lawrence P. & Elizabeth A. (Joyce) Gorman, and was the beloved baby sister of her older siblings! On June 3, 1972 she married Donald W. Hemmer at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Janesville.

Gail was employed as an Aide for the CESA program at the Glen Oaks School. She was a very selfless and giving person, and enjoyed volunteering her time to various organizations in Janesville, as well as the Janesville Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 197, where she was also a very active member of the Women Of The Moose. Gail loved angels, and had acquired a large collection of angels. She loved animals, and treated her pets and those of others as if they were her own children. Gail's greatest joy was her family, and she was also a very proud wife of an Army veteran. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Gail is survived by her loving husband, Donald, her sister, Sister Lauretana Gorman, of Janesville, her brother, William R. (Shirley) Gorman, of Arkdale, WI, her 2 brothers-in-law, Al (Kate) Hemmer, of Chicago, IL, and Mike (Linda) Hemmer, of Jacksonville, FL, and by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Scripture Service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Wed., July 22, 2015 at the LOYAL ORDER OF MOOSE LODGE 197, 2701 Rockport Rd. A memorial visitation will take place from 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the LODGE.
